In plain words: the app is free, it stores everything on your device, and it gives you decision support — not professional advice. The final call is always yours.
1. Agreement
By downloading or using the Entscheid.io app or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal or business decision-making. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source of the app except where such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
3. Your content
Everything you enter into the app stays on your device and remains yours. We claim no ownership over it and, having no servers, we hold no copy of it. You are responsible for backing up your device: uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently deletes your decisions.
4. Not professional advice
Entscheid.io applies well-known mathematical and statistical methods — optimal stopping, Bayesian optimization, scheduling heuristics, correlation, multi-armed bandits — to the numbers and judgements you supply. Its output is a decision aid, nothing more. It is not financial, investment, legal, medical, or psychological advice. Results depend entirely on the quality of your inputs and on assumptions that may not hold in your situation. Always apply your own judgement and consult a qualified professional for consequential decisions.
5. The AI assistant
The optional in-app assistant runs on an AI provider of your choosing, using an API key you supply. You are responsible for your use of that provider, for any fees they charge you, and for complying with their terms. AI output can be wrong or incomplete — verify anything that matters. We are not a party to your relationship with the provider.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose, and do not attempt to disrupt or misuse the services it links to.
7. Availability and changes
The app is provided free of charge. We may add, change or remove features, and we may update or discontinue the app at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid breaking data saved by earlier versions.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its outputs will lead to any particular outcome.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or opportunities, arising out of your use of the app or of decisions you make with it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
10. Third-party stores
When you obtain the app through Google Play or the App Store, that store's own terms also apply. The store operators are not responsible for the app and are not parties to these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
